I have used this book for over 10 years! it has everything you ever want to know about your first days teaching school as well as reminders about what you usd to know.

Not real happy
Bought the book on 8/5 and paid for expedited shipping. It's 9/6 and all I've received so far is a request to review. I won't be able to review the book until I actually receive it and can read it. Not able to track the shipping so no idea where it might be or if I am going to get it.

As an experienced teacher, I welcomed being reminded of how important a Good Start is for a successful school year. I had changed grade-levels -- up to 8th grade math -- and the rules & procedures needed tweaking. Having given my copy of FIRST DAYS away to a beginning teacher, I was happy to find a used one at amazon.com. Although some of the methods and procedures may seem a little dated, they WORK, and the kids respond well. Why? Because they welcome the security of routines and procedures. The classroom can run, most days, like clockwork!
